Meta ad library search
Type a brand or company name. Endless finds its advertiser page in the Meta Ad Library and lists the ads it runs now on Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp and Threads, with the copy, headline, landing link, format and start date of each, grouped by offer.
What is the Meta Ad Library?
The Meta Ad Library, also called the Facebook ad library, is Meta's public record of the ads that run on Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp and Threads. Anyone can look up an advertiser and see its ads: the copy, the creative, the landing page, the platforms each ad runs on and the date it started.
The library is built for looking up one ad at a time. A brand that tests many versions can have dozens of active ads, and the same offer often appears in several near-identical versions. To learn what a competitor is promoting, you have to read them all, note the landing pages and group them by offer yourself.
Endless finds the brand's advertiser page, reads its ads and groups them by offer or angle. Each ad comes with its copy, headline, landing link, format, start date and platforms, and a link to its page in the library so you can check it. Meta does not publish spend or reach for commercial ads, so Endless does not report them.
How it works
- 01
Enter the brand
Type a brand or company name into the box above.
- 02
Sign in and the prompt is ready
Create a free Endless account or sign in. Your workspace chat opens with the request already written, and the agent finds the advertiser and reads its ads.
- 03
Read the ads and ask more
Get the active ads grouped by offer, with the copy and landing link of each. Then ask for one country, the newest ads first or a comparison with another brand.
What people use it for
- 01
See what a competitor promotes
Look up a competitor and read the ads it runs now. The landing links show which products and pages it sends paid traffic to, and the copy shows which offers and claims it leads with. The agent groups the ads by offer, so you see its priorities in one list.
- 02
Find angles to test
Ask the agent to compare the angles a brand uses: price, a problem it solves, social proof or a limited-time offer. Ads that have run for months are probably working, because advertisers rarely keep paying for an ad that doesn't. Use the list to pick angles for your own tests.
- 03
Collect ad copy for a brief
Gather the headlines, copy and calls to action of a category's main advertisers into one document for your copywriter or agency. Each ad keeps its link to the library, so whoever reads the brief can open the original and see the creative.
- 04
Check ads in one country
Ask for the ads a brand runs in one country, such as the US, Brazil or Argentina. That shows how a brand adapts its offers and language by market, and which products it pushes where.
- 05
Search ads by topic
Search the ad copy for a keyword instead of a brand, such as a product type or an offer, and see which advertisers run ads about it and what they say. It is a quick way to map a category you are entering.
- 06
Track a brand every week
Turn the search into a scheduled task that runs weekly. Each run reads the brand's active ads again and reports which ones are new, so a competitor's new campaigns show up in your workspace. It is a periodic check, not a real-time alert.
Frequently asked questions
Is this Meta ad library search free?
You can start free. A free Endless account comes with the Free plan, which gives your workspace 100 credits when you create it and 50 credits every week. Each search spends credits from that balance. Paid plans add more credits if you check ads often.
How much does a search cost?
Finding the advertiser is one lookup, and reading its ads is another. Ads are read 30 at a time, up to 90, and each group of 30 is billed, so reading more ads costs more. The chat shows what each search spent.
Does it show how much a brand spends on ads?
No. Meta does not publish spend or reach for commercial ads, so Endless cannot read them and the agent will not estimate them. You get what the library shows: the copy, creative, landing link, format, platforms and dates of each ad.
Which platforms does it cover?
The Meta Ad Library covers Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp and Threads, and each ad lists the platforms it runs on. Searching a brand returns its ads on all of them, so you don't search Instagram ads and Facebook ads separately.
Can I see ads that stopped running?
Yes. By default the agent reads the ads running now. Ask for ads that are no longer active, or for all of them, and each stopped ad comes with its start and end date. You can also ask for the newest ads first instead of the most seen.
What if two pages have the same name?
Brands often share a name with unrelated pages. The agent picks the advertiser by its category, likes and Instagram account, not by the first result, and asks you when two pages could both be the brand. Name the brand's website or Instagram account to make it clear.
Can I search ads by keyword instead of brand?
Yes. Ask the agent to search the ad copy for a word or phrase, and it returns ads from any advertiser that contain it. That shows what a category says in its ads. To see one brand's own ads, search by the brand's name.
What is the best way to see competitor ads on Facebook and Instagram?
The Meta Ad Library is the source for every advertiser. Endless reads it for you, groups a brand's ads by offer, keeps the link to each ad and answers follow-up questions in a chat. It also fits if you want to compare brands or schedule the check weekly.
