HeyGen pricing in 2026: plans, credits and what they buy
HeyGen's Free, Creator, Pro and Business plans in October 2026, what a credit buys in avatar minutes, how monthly and annual prices differ, and what the API costs. Every price links to HeyGen's own pages.

HeyGen makes AI avatar videos: a presenter, made from a photo or a short recording, reads your script. It sells a free plan, two plans for individuals, Creator and Pro, and a Business plan for teams. Every paid plan comes with a monthly pool of credits that all features draw from. The API is billed separately, pay as you go.
We make Endless, a workspace that runs lip-sync, talking-avatar and voice models among many others, so read the last section with that in mind. Every price below comes from HeyGen's pricing page or its help center, read on October 30, 2026. If a number here disagrees with that page, the page wins.

The page has two tabs, For Individuals and For Businesses, and each paid card has its own Monthly and Yearly switch. Yearly billing is labeled "2 months free" and is charged once a year: $288 for Creator, $488 for Pro at 1,000 credits and $1,428 for Business. Enterprise is priced through sales.
Free: $0
Three videos a month, with a HeyGen watermark, each up to 1 minute. It includes trial access to Avatar IV and Video Agent, one custom video avatar, more than 500 stock presenters, one voice clone and 30+ languages. No credit card is needed.
Creator: $29 a month, or $24 billed yearly
600 credits a month, 1080p export, no HeyGen branding, and a custom video avatar with your own voice and likeness. Videos run up to 30 minutes, in 175+ languages and dialects. It includes Avatar III and Avatar IV, limited use of Avatar V, and HeyGen's own text to speech, "up to 10 hours" a month according to the plan card. Monthly credits roll over for one month; on annual billing they add up until the plan renews.
Pro: from $49 a month, or $41 billed yearly
Pro has the same features at every price; only the credits change. A menu on the card sets the monthly amount, billed monthly:
| Pro credits per month | Billed monthly |
|---|---|
| 1,000 | $49 |
| 1,500 | $74 |
| 2,000 | $99 |
| 3,000 | $149 |
| 5,000 | $240 |
| 7,500 | $360 |
| 10,000 | $460 |
| 20,000 | $900 |
| 50,000 | $2,250 |
| 100,000 | $4,300 |
Over Creator, Pro adds 4K export, faster processing, Avatar V, Seedance 2.5, Veo 3.1 and Nano Banana for generating clips and images, "Cinematic Avatars" placed in prompted scenes, 16+ hours of text to speech, and editing of translation scripts. Pro is still one seat.
Business: $149 a month, plus $20 per added seat
1,500 credits a month for a shared team workspace, with videos up to 60 minutes, 5 custom video avatars with Avatar V, 4K export and upscaling, SAML SSO, a brand kit, SCORM export for learning platforms, and integrations with n8n, Make, HubSpot and Zapier. Each extra team member is $20 a month. Billed yearly, the base price drops to $119 a month.
Business is the only plan that can buy more credits without changing plan. HeyGen's credits article prices them at $0.05 each, in blocks of 100 for $5, with optional auto-reload. Creator and Pro users upgrade to a bigger plan or tier instead.
What a credit buys
HeyGen's credits article lists the standard rates. A "Photo Look" is an avatar made from a still image, a "Video Look" one made from recorded footage.
| Feature | Credits on HeyGen |
|---|---|
| Avatar III, Video Look | 4 per minute |
| Avatar III, Photo Look | 7 per minute |
| Avatar IV, Photo Look | 16 per minute |
| Avatar IV, Video Look | 31 per minute |
| Avatar V, Photo or Video Look | 48 per minute |
| Video translation, Speed mode | 6 per minute |
| Video translation, Precision mode | 10 per minute |
| Video Agent, standard mode | 80 per minute |
| Generated image | 2 per image |
| Generated video clip | From 12 per minute |
So Creator's 600 credits cover about 37 minutes of Avatar IV from a photo, or 150 minutes of Avatar III from a recorded avatar. The same article warns that rates "can vary by account" depending on when and where the account was created, and that the cost shown in the app before you generate is what you are charged.
A few notes from the fine print on the pricing page. Unused credits do not survive a cancellation: when a subscription ends, the account drops to Free and its credits expire. Upgrades take effect at once with prorated billing; downgrades and cancellations wait for the end of the billing cycle.
HeyGen API pricing
The API does not use plan credits. HeyGen's API pricing article says it is pay as you go: you add funds in US dollars, with no plan needed, and each video is charged by the seconds generated. Self-serve rates per minute:
| API feature | Price per minute |
|---|---|
| Avatar III, Digital Twin | $0.60 |
| Avatar III, Photo or Studio Avatar | $0.99 |
| Avatar IV, Photo Avatar | $2.31 |
| Avatar IV, Digital Twin or Studio | $4.83 |
| Avatar V, Digital Twin | $7.20 |
| Video translation, audio only | $0.57 |
| Video translation, lip sync | $0.81 |
| Video translation, Precision mode | $1.50 |
| Video Agent, prompt to video | $5.82 |
The live price list sits in HeyGen's API dashboard and needs a sign-in. Enterprise API pricing is not published.
What the same work costs on Endless
Endless is a shared workspace with image, video, audio and chat models from several makers, priced per output in credits from one balance, and paid per workspace rather than per seat. These numbers come from our pricing page and the live model catalog:
| Endless plan | Monthly price | Annual (per month) | Credits per month | Seats |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 50 per week | 1 |
| Hobby | $23 | $18 | 1,600 | 1 |
| Basic | $49 | $39 | 3,700 | Up to 10 |
| Pro | $99 | $79 | 8,000 | Up to 50 |
Endless has no avatar studio. It runs talking-video and lip-sync models: you give one a portrait (or a filmed clip) and a voice track, and it returns the video. These are the ones that overlap with HeyGen, priced per minute of output:
| Model | What it does | Credits on Endless |
|---|---|---|
| Fabric 1.0 | Portrait and audio to talking video | About 169 a minute |
| Pruna Avatar | Portrait and audio to talking video | About 190 a minute |
| MiniMax H3 Max Lip-sync | Portrait and audio to talking video | 480 a minute |
| VEED Lipsync 2 | New speech on filmed footage | 560 a minute |
| Sync 3 | New speech on filmed footage | About 1,067 a minute |
| MiniMax Speech 2.8 HD | Text to speech | 25 per 1,000 characters |
| ElevenLabs v3 | Speech in your cloned voice | 48 per 1,000 characters |
The per-minute prices are for the cheapest setting: Fabric 1.0 in Lite mode at 720p, Pruna Avatar at 720p and MiniMax H3 Max Lip-sync at 480p. Higher resolutions cost more.
Credits aren't the same unit on both sites, so compare the minutes. For $29 a month, HeyGen Creator buys about 37 minutes of Avatar IV from a photo, voice included. For $23, Endless Hobby buys about 9 minutes of Fabric 1.0 Lite at 720p (1,600 ÷ 169), and the voice track is a separate charge. For avatar video on its own, HeyGen is several times cheaper per minute. It also has things Endless doesn't: stock presenters, a trained avatar of you from a short recording, a studio editor with templates, and translation with lip sync in 175 languages.
Where Endless costs less is a team. The $49 Basic plan is for up to 10 people on one credit balance, with limits per person and team, where a HeyGen team starts at $149 a month plus $20 for each added seat. The same balance also pays for image and video models and for chat models from OpenAI, Anthropic and Google, so a team can write the script, make the voice, the presenter and the B-roll in one place. If your work is mostly presenter videos, HeyGen is the better buy. If talking videos are one part of what your team makes, one shared plan usually costs less than an avatar tool plus a seat in each other tool.
