Meshy 7.1 is a 3D model by Meshy. In Endless it costs 185 credits per model and is available on the Hobby plan and up.
Meshy 7.1 turns a text prompt, one picture or up to four views of the same object into a textured 3D model you can rotate and download as GLB.
185 credits per model
Meshy 7.1 is Meshy's 3D generation model. It builds a textured 3D model in three ways: from a text prompt of up to 600 characters that describes the object, from a single picture, or from two to four pictures of the same object taken from different angles, which make one model together.
With a picture attached, the picture sets the shape and the prompt is optional: it only describes the materials and colors of the surface. Without a picture, the prompt describes the whole object. One subject on a plain background works best.
Every run returns one textured model as a GLB file, with a preview image. In Endless you can rotate it, download the GLB, and on the canvas reframe it from a new angle into a picture. It runs on the canvas from selected pictures, and through the API, where a prompt alone is enough.
Meshy 7.1 builds one textured 3D model, returned as a GLB file with a preview image. What decides the shape depends on what you give it:
With a picture attached, the prompt becomes a texture prompt. It is optional and only describes the materials and colors of the surface. It cannot change the shape.
In Endless today, Meshy 7.1 runs on the canvas from the pictures you select. A prompt-only run, with no picture, is available through the API. You can rotate the result in Endless, download the GLB and, on the canvas, reframe the model from a new angle into a picture.
Meshy's help center recommends a clear, front-facing picture of one subject on a plain background. A busy background confuses the model about what the subject is, and two subjects in one picture may be merged into one model. Use a sharp, well-lit image: blur and low resolution lead to wrong geometry.
The model has to guess the parts the picture does not show, such as the back of a figure, so those parts can come out wrong. If the back matters, give it more views. Meshy also lists very fine details, such as strands of hair, jewelry chains and intricate patterns, as hard to rebuild from one picture.
For drawings and AI art, Meshy suggests a semi-realistic style with visible volume and shading. Flat illustrations, chibi proportions and line art can produce unexpected shapes.
Use two to four pictures when one view leaves too much to guess. Meshy's advice:
Meshy's API docs say the first picture is read as the front view, so put the front view first when you can choose the order.
Meshy's help center gives three rules for text-to-3D prompts: describe one object, not a scene; give three to six concrete details; and be specific ("smooth gold metal", not "looks beautiful"). A reference to a known object or style also helps. Leave out smoke, glitter and other effects that are not physical objects, abstract ideas with nothing to see, and long lists of adjectives. The prompt can be up to 600 characters.
A [object], [shape detail], [material], [color], [one or two distinctive parts].
A medieval iron lantern with a ring handle on top, four glass panes and a short candle inside.
Meshy's help center also says that for close control over the look, starting from a picture works better than text.
When a picture sets the shape, describe only the surface: materials, colors and finish, such as "brushed steel armor, dark blue cloth tabard". Leave the prompt empty to keep the colors of the picture. Describing a different shape in the texture prompt has no effect on the geometry.
Meshy's API offers more options, such as polygon count, topology, low-poly meshes, PBR maps, A-pose or T-pose and auto-rigging. They are not available in Endless, which always returns a textured model with Meshy's defaults.
