About Grok Imagine Video
Grok Imagine Video runs Grok Imagine Video 1.5, the video model from SpaceXAI (formerly xAI), first released in May 2026. It turns a prompt or a still image into a clip of 1 to 15 seconds at 480p, 720p or 1080p, with sound effects, ambience and speech generated in the same pass.
It comes in two tiers with the same controls: standard for the best quality, and Lite, faster and cheaper, for drafts and volume. From a prompt alone you choose the aspect ratio, from 16:9 to 9:16; with an image attached, the clip follows the image's shape.
It can also edit a clip you already have. Attach a video of up to 8 seconds and describe the change, such as 'make it look like it is snowing'; the result keeps the clip's length and framing. Edits always run on the standard tier.
