  4. 04

    Look at sessions and logs

Open dashboards, read survey responses and check web analytics.

Things to ask

  • “What were the top five errors in PostHog this week, and how many users did each affect?”
  • “How many people signed up last month, by country, according to PostHog?”
  • “Turn off the new-checkout feature flag in PostHog for everyone outside the beta cohort.”
  • “Summarize the results of our pricing page experiment in PostHog.”

How to set it up

  1. 01

    Open connectors

In Endless, open Settings and go to Connectors.

  2. 02

    Connect PostHog

Connect PostHog from its card, then approve access on PostHog's sign-in page.

  3. 03

    Ask in chat

Start a chat and ask for what you need. The agent uses PostHog when your request calls for it.

Frequently asked questions

  • Does PostHog charge for its MCP server?

PostHog says connecting and calling its tools is free. Some tools use AI internally, can be billed as PostHog AI usage and need AI data processing turned on in your PostHog organization.

  • Does it work with PostHog EU?

Yes. PostHog's sign-in sends you to the right region, US or EU, for the account you log in with.

  • Do I need a PostHog account?

Yes. Each person in the workspace connects their own PostHog account, and the agent acts with that account's access. Nobody else in the workspace can use your connection.

  • Can a workspace admin turn PostHog off?

Yes. An admin can turn a connector off for the whole workspace in the Workspace tab of the connectors settings. Members choose for themselves among the connectors left on.

  • Can a scheduled task use PostHog?

Yes. A scheduled task can use the connectors its creator has connected, so a weekly report can read PostHog the same way a chat does.

  • Which chat models can use PostHog?

The chat model you pick in Endless gets the PostHog tools, so you can switch models in a conversation and keep the connection.
