Linear integration for AI chat
Connect your Linear account and the Endless agent can find issues, turn a conversation into tickets, follow a project's progress and write its status update without leaving the chat.
What the agent can do with Linear
- 01
Find and read issues
List issues by team, assignee or status, read one with its comments and view the screenshots attached to it.
- 02
Create and update issues
Open an issue with a title, description, labels and assignee, change it later or comment on it.
- 03
Follow projects and cycles
Read a project and its milestones, check a team's cycles and see how much of the work is done.
- 04
Write status updates
Draft a project or initiative update from what changed, and post it to Linear.
- 05
Work with documents
Read and write Linear documents, such as a spec or the notes from a planning meeting.
- 06
Look up people and teams
Find who is on a team and who an issue should go to.
Things to ask
- “List my open Linear issues in this cycle, sorted by priority.”
- “Turn the action items from this chat into Linear issues for the Web team.”
- “Write this week's status update for the onboarding project from its closed issues.”
- “Find the Linear issue about the export bug and tell me who is on it.”
How to set it up
- 01
Open connectors
In Endless, open Settings and go to Connectors.
- 02
Connect Linear
Connect Linear from its card, then approve access on Linear's sign-in page.
- 03
Ask in chat
Start a chat and ask for what you need. The agent uses Linear when your request calls for it.

Frequently asked questions
What Linear access does Endless ask for?
When you connect, Endless asks Linear for read and write access. The agent sees the teams and issues your own Linear account can see.
Does it work together with GitHub?
Yes. Connect both and the agent can use them in one request, for example reading a pull request in GitHub and posting a summary on the Linear issue it fixes.
Do I need a Linear account?
Yes. Each person in the workspace connects their own Linear account, and the agent acts with that account's access. Nobody else in the workspace can use your connection.
Can a workspace admin turn Linear off?
Yes. An admin can turn a connector off for the whole workspace in the Workspace tab of the connectors settings. Members choose for themselves among the connectors left on.
Can a scheduled task use Linear?
Yes. A scheduled task can use the connectors its creator has connected, so a weekly report can read Linear the same way a chat does.
Which chat models can use Linear?
The chat model you pick in Endless gets the Linear tools, so you can switch models in a conversation and keep the connection.
