DeepWiki integration for AI chat

DeepWiki writes documentation for public GitHub repositories. Turn it on in Endless and the agent can read those pages and ask DeepWiki about a repository's code before it answers you.

What the agent can do with DeepWiki

  1. 01

    See what a repository covers

List the documentation topics DeepWiki has for a public GitHub repository.

  2. 02

    Read the documentation

Read DeepWiki's pages on how a repository is organized and how its parts fit together.

  3. 03

    Ask about the code

Ask a question about one repository, or several at once, and get an answer based on their code.

Things to ask

  • “Using DeepWiki, explain how facebook/react schedules updates, for a new engineer.”
  • “Ask DeepWiki where vercel/next.js decides whether a route is static.”
  • “Compare how two open-source HTTP clients handle retries, using DeepWiki for both.”

How to set it up

  1. 01

    Open connectors

In Endless, open Settings and go to Connectors.

  2. 02

    Turn on DeepWiki

DeepWiki is a public server, so there is nothing to sign in to. Turn it on in your list of connectors.

  3. 03

    Ask in chat

Start a chat and ask for what you need. The agent uses DeepWiki when your request calls for it.

Every DeepWiki tool the agent gets

3 tools, as DeepWiki's MCP server lists them. The agent picks the one that fits your request.

Frequently asked questions

  • Which repositories does DeepWiki cover?

Public GitHub repositories that DeepWiki has indexed. For your private code, connect GitHub instead.

  • How is it different from the GitHub integration?

GitHub reads the code, issues and pull requests in the repositories your account can reach. DeepWiki reads the documentation it has written about public repositories, which is faster for learning how an open-source project works.

  • Do I need an account or an API key?

No. DeepWiki is a public MCP server. There is no account to connect and no key to paste.

  • Can a workspace admin turn DeepWiki off?

Yes. An admin can turn a connector off for the whole workspace in the Workspace tab of the connectors settings. Members choose for themselves among the connectors left on.

  • Can a scheduled task use DeepWiki?

Yes. A scheduled task can use the connectors that are on for its creator, so a weekly report can read DeepWiki the same way a chat does.

  • Which chat models can use DeepWiki?

The chat model you pick in Endless gets the DeepWiki tools, so you can switch models in a conversation and keep the connection.
