Feature availability
Turn whole parts of Endless on or off for the workspace, a team or one person.
Where Model availability narrows which engines can run, Settings → Governance → Features narrows the product itself: "Choose which product surfaces each team or person can use. Turning a feature off hides it and blocks its actions. Chat is always on."
This is the blunt instrument, and sometimes the right one. A workspace that has no use for video generation, or contractors who should only ever chat, is a features question rather than a models question.
Opening the page needs the permission to view workspace activity and governance; changing anything needs the permission to change workspace governance settings. Without the second, the page opens read-only with a notice at the top and every switch inert. See Roles and permissions.
What you can switch
Nine surfaces appear on the page, each with a one-line description of what it is:
| Feature | What turning it off removes |
|---|---|
| Assets | The asset library — saving, browsing and reusing uploads and outputs |
| Scheduled tasks | Prompts that run automatically on a schedule |
| Projects | Projects, and the shared knowledge that comes with them |
| Transcripts | Turning recordings, podcasts and links into searchable text |
| Canvas | The infinite canvas |
| Image generation | The Image surface |
| Video generation | The Video surface |
| Radar | The live search across social and the web |
| Model picker | Choosing which model powers the chat, rather than using the default |
Chat is always on and isn't on the list. There is no switch that takes chat away from a workspace or a person — it's the product's core, and everything else is optional around it.
Scopes work exactly like models
Same Scope selector, same three levels, same rule.
Workspace
"The default for everyone in the workspace."
Team
"Rules on top of the workspace default. Anything turned off for the workspace stays off here."
Person
The same, for one individual — on top of both the workspace and their team.
Restrictions only subtract here too. A feature turned off for the workspace stays off for every team and every person in it, and the narrower row says which level did it. To give one team something, leave it on at the workspace and turn it off everywhere else. "Reset" clears the rules set at the scope you're viewing.
At the workspace level the page adds a hint worth reading before you go looking for a switch that isn't there: "Workspace-wide availability is set by your plan; use a team or person to restrict further."
What a person sees when a feature is off
The surface simply isn't there — no menu entry, no page, nothing greyed out to ask about. And it isn't only the interface: the actions behind it are refused too, so a link someone saved, or an address typed in directly, doesn't get them back in.
Nothing is deleted. Turn Transcripts off and the workspace's transcripts still exist; turn it back on and they're where they were. A feature switch controls access, not content.
That makes this the first place to check when a teammate reports something missing rather than broken. Set the scope to that person and look at their row — the page will tell you whether it's off for them, for their team, or for everybody.
Not everything in Endless is on this page
These nine are the surfaces a workspace governs for itself. Endless also rolls capabilities out workspace by workspace, and those aren't yours to switch — they appear when they're released to you and can't be turned on from here. If you're looking for a feature you've read about and it isn't in this list or in the product, that's the reason.
