Sharing a transcript
A transcript is an asset — private until you share it, and it shares with exactly two settings.
There is nothing special to learn here, and that's the point. A transcript is an asset. It sits in your Assets library alongside your uploads and everything you've generated, and it obeys that one visibility model — the same panel, the same two settings, the same rules about who can see what.
A transcript is private when it's made. Transcribing something in your workspace does not show it to your workspace. Until you share it, it's yours.
The two settings
The share panel offers exactly two, and the transcript page states which one is in force on its Sharing row.
Private
The default. The panel explains it as "Only you" — see below for the one thing that widens it.
Shared with workspace
"Everyone in the workspace can view" — anyone in the workspace can open and read it.
There is no public option. Nothing in the interface publishes a transcript to the internet or produces a link that works without signing in to the workspace. Shared means shared with your colleagues.
Sharing one
Open the share control
On a transcript, the pill in the header reads "Private" or "Shared". From the transcripts list you can get there without opening anything: the ⋯ menu on a row has Share › with the same panel inside it.
Switch it to "Shared with workspace"
The change takes effect immediately. Once it's shared, "Copy link" becomes available — the link is only useful to people who could open it anyway.
Check "General access"
The panel lists who currently has access and why. If a transcript is reachable for a reason you didn't intend, this is where you'll see it.
Un-share whenever you like
Switching it back to Private withdraws workspace-wide access straight away. Access is worked out fresh every time someone looks, never copied — so it can always be taken back.
The one thing that widens "Private"
Adding it to a project
The same panel has "Add to a project". Linking a transcript into a project is itself a form of sharing: it becomes reachable through that project. A private transcript in a shared project is not as private as the word suggests — Assets and visibility sets out exactly who a project link reaches.
Who can change it
Sharing is a change to the transcript, so it stays with whoever made it. Someone who can read your transcript can read it, search it, and export it — they cannot re-share it, and they cannot delete it. Sharing makes something readable, never editable.
Running the workspace does not come with a way into someone's private transcripts — no role grants it and no setting turns it on. If you need someone's recording, ask them to share it. The full picture is on Assets and visibility.
Deleting one
It goes to the trash
Deleting a transcript moves it to Settings → Trash, where it sits for 30 days before it's removed for good. Restore it within that window and it comes back untouched.
Sharing doesn't survive it
A transcript nobody can reach is a transcript nobody can read — deleting it takes its shared access with it, for everyone.
