Billing
The plan, the payment method and the invoices — and where to look if you can't open the page.
Settings → Workspace → Billing — "Plan, usage, and payment methods." — is the only place the workspace's money is handled: which plan it is on, what it has used, who gets the invoices, and which card pays them.
You may not be able to open it
Billing needs the "View and manage billing" permission, which Admin and Billing manager hold by default. Without it the entry is not in the settings menu at all, and typing the address lands you on your own Profile page instead. See Roles and permissions.
That gate is deliberate but it would be cruel on its own, because everyone needs to know how many credits they have left. So the number is somewhere ungated:
The Credits popover
At the foot of the sidebar, open to everyone. It gives you "Available" — your balance, not just the workspace's — the cap that applies to you if there is one, a countdown to the next refill, and the workspace's last fortnight of spending as a chart ("Workspace · 14 days"). It also warns before you run out, with "Running low" and then "Out of credits".
The popover's own footer link goes to this page, so following it without the billing permission bounces you the same way.
Before there is a plan
A brand-new workspace has no billing account yet, so the page shows the free tier and one form: "Set up billing" — "Add your billing details to subscribe to a plan." Nothing else can happen until it is filled in, because checkout needs a customer to attach to.
Company name
"This will appear on your invoices."
Primary billing email
"Invoices and payment receipts will be sent here." It does not have to be the email you sign in with.
Additional billing emails
Optional, added one at a time with "Add email" — "Copy invoices to additional team members."
You can edit all of this later from the Billing details section.
Reading the page

The plan banner
At the top. A workspace with no subscription shows "Free plan" and "No subscription", with a weekly free-credit allowance and an "Upgrade" button. A subscribed workspace shows the plan's name and status instead, with "Change plan" and "Manage in Stripe".
Next credits refill and Next billing
Two separate dates and worth not confusing. "Next credits refill" is when the allowance tops up; "Next billing" is when money moves — on the free tier it reads "Nothing due".
Usage
A bar of credits used against the total for the cycle, with the date the cycle resets. Free workspaces have one too — the weekly refill is a pool like any other.
Activity
"Recent billing events from the last 30 days." Subscriptions, payments and credit grants, newest first.
Subscribed workspaces get three more sections: Payment method ("Add payment method" when there's none on file, otherwise the card and "Manage in Stripe"), Invoices ("Access your complete invoice history" via "View invoices"), and Credit packs.
Payment methods and invoices are not stored in Endless — those buttons hand you over to the payment provider's own portal and bring you back. If a payment fails, the page says so at the top of Billing details and points at the same place.
Changing the plan
Open the plan picker
"Upgrade" on a free workspace, "Change plan" on a subscribed one. The dialog is headed "Choose a plan" the first time and "Change plan" after — "Upgrade or downgrade your plan anytime."
Pick monthly or yearly
A "Monthly" / "Yearly" switch sits above the plans, with the yearly saving shown on the toggle. Your current plan is badged "Current"; a change you've already scheduled is badged "Scheduled".
Confirm
Endless previews the consequence before it charges anything.
- Upgrading takes effect at once, charges the new plan immediately, and resets the billing cycle today — you get the new plan's credits, and unused credits from the old plan do not carry over.
- Downgrading waits: the plan changes at the end of the current billing period, and you keep your current features and credits until then. The dialog lists the features you'll lose.
Two things will block a change. A yearly subscription can't be switched mid-year — the dialog says so and sends you to the provider's portal to cancel or update payment instead. And a downgrade to a plan with fewer seats is refused while the workspace has more members than that plan allows; remove people first. That check counts pending invitations as members.
Credit packs
Once a workspace is subscribed, a "Credit packs" section appears: "One-time top-ups. Purchased credits never expire and carry over between billing cycles." Press "Buy" on a pack and checkout opens; the credits land on the workspace a few seconds after payment.
This is the answer to running out mid-cycle without changing plan — and unlike the plan's recurring allowance, what you buy stays until you spend it.
Prices and limits
This page deliberately doesn't list prices, credit allowances, seat counts or project caps. They change, they differ by billing interval, and quoting them here is a good way to be wrong. The two places that are always current are the plan picker inside Settings → Billing, which shows the live price and allowance for every plan, and the pricing page on the Endless site. For plans beyond the self-serve ones the dialog offers "Contact sales" — "Contact us for custom pricing."
What credits buy
What costs credits, when you're charged, and why one model costs a hundred times another.
Seats and members
The seat cap in practice: who counts towards it and what happens when you hit it.
Who can see this page
Billing manager exists precisely so a finance contact can pay the bills without operational access.
Deleting the workspace
Ending a workspace is a workspace setting, not a billing one.
