Social research
Ask chat about any public account, post, comment thread or search across the seven big social platforms.
Chat reads public data straight from Instagram, X (Twitter), TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, LinkedIn and Facebook. There's no screen for it and nothing to connect — you ask in an ordinary conversation and the answer comes back with the numbers and the links in it.
That's what makes it more than a lookup. What comes back is already in the conversation, so the same reply can compare two accounts, mine a comment thread for quotes, or turn either into a post in your voice.
What you can ask for
Across all seven platforms the questions come in five shapes:
- An account — a profile, channel, page or company. Followers or subscribers, bio, verification, post and view totals.
- What that account posted — its recent or top posts, a channel's videos, a page's posts, a subreddit's feed, sorted by recency or by engagement.
- One post, and its comments — likes, views and comment counts, plus the thread underneath.
- A search across the platform — by topic, keyword, hashtag or brand, usually narrowed to a window like the last 24 hours or the last month.
- What's trending — trends on X by location, TikTok's trend charts and scans, YouTube trending by region.
You never name a tool. Ask in your own words and Endless works out which platform and which lookup answers it.

The five shapes hold everywhere; the details don't.
- Instagram also reads stories — the live 24-hour ones — and highlights, the permanent collections pinned to a profile.
- X can list who follows an account or who it follows, and who liked or retweeted a specific post.
- TikTok goes at hashtags and at every video using one sound — how a trend actually spreads there — plus the top-performing ad creatives by country.
- LinkedIn separates people from companies, and can search for people by name and job title.
- Facebook covers groups as well as pages.
- Reddit is either the whole platform by search or one subreddit's feed.

What are people saying about our new packaging on Reddit and in the comments on our last three YouTube videos? Tell me where the two audiences disagree, and cite every source.Public data only. Endless isn't logged in to anything. It reads what any visitor could see, so private accounts, DMs and follower-only posts are out of reach — and because engagement on someone else's stories isn't public, those come back with their timing and content but no view counts.
Every lookup is a paid step
Each lookup costs credits, at a flat price per call. A profile, a page of posts and a comment thread are three lookups, each charged on its own and shown with its price under the reply. One that fails, or one you decline, isn't charged. Worth knowing before you ask for every post from every competitor this year — that question is dozens of lookups.
If your workspace asks before it spends, a card appears — "Look up social data?" — naming the cost first, with a countdown that decides on its own if nobody answers. Where that's off, lookups run when the agent decides it needs one and you see the cost afterwards. See credits and spending.
Why a web search can't do this
These seven platforms show a login wall to anything that isn't a signed-in browser. A normal web search or page fetch gets the wall, not the post — so Endless deliberately steers itself off web search for those domains and onto the dedicated lookup instead.
The difference isn't speed. A web search finds articles about an account; this reads the account.
Trends, and where they live
Chat answers "what's trending on TikTok" or "what's trending on YouTube in Brazil" the same way it answers everything else here. Social radar is the dedicated screen for the same instinct, and a better starting point when you don't yet have an account or a post in mind.
One exception: trending topics on X ride the same switch as Radar. If Radar is off for your workspace, that single lookup is unavailable and everything else here still works.
