ChatGPT

Add Endless to ChatGPT as a developer mode plugin, then sign in with your Endless account.

ChatGPT connects to remote MCP servers through developer mode. Turn it on once, add Endless as a plugin with the server address below, then sign in with your Endless account.

https://mcp.endless.app

Copy the address without a trailing slash or path. Endless does not use the /mcp path that some ChatGPT guides show.

Before you start

Developer mode is available on ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu plans, on ChatGPT on the web. It is not available on the Free plan.

On a Business, Enterprise or Edu plan, a workspace owner or admin must first allow developer mode in the ChatGPT workspace settings, under Permissions & roles.

Add Endless to ChatGPT

Turn on developer mode

In ChatGPT, open Settings → Security and login and turn on Developer mode.

Create the plugin

Open Settings → Plugins and press +. In the New Plugin window:

  • Name: Endless
  • Connection: choose Server URL and paste the address above
  • Authentication: OAuth

Leave Advanced OAuth settings unchanged. ChatGPT discovers the settings from the server, and Endless does not require client credentials.

Accept the warning

ChatGPT shows a warning for every MCP server that OpenAI has not reviewed. Select I understand and want to continue, then press Create.

Sign in with Endless

Press Sign in with Endless. A window opens on your Endless sign-in and asks you to approve access for ChatGPT. Press Allow. The window closes and ChatGPT shows Endless as connected.

Use it in a chat

Start a new chat, press + in the message box, choose Developer mode, and select Endless. Then ask ChatGPT: "Ask Endless who I am." It should answer with your account, your workspaces, and which one it's reading.

The ChatGPT warning applies to all custom MCP servers, including servers that can change data. Endless tools only read your workspace. The only change they can make is to your workspace selection. None create, edit or delete content, and none use credits.

What to ask for

Name Endless in your request, so ChatGPT uses the plugin instead of a web search:

  • "Search my Endless assets for the Q3 launch deck."
  • "List my Endless projects, then open acme-rebrand and tell me what's in it."
  • "Find my Endless chat about the podcast clips and summarize what we decided."

When it doesn't work

Developer mode is not in the settings

Your plan does not include it, or your ChatGPT workspace admin has not allowed it. Developer mode is available only on ChatGPT on the web.

Sign-in does not complete

Delete the plugin and create it again. Make sure the address has no trailing slash or path and that Authentication is OAuth. If it still fails, sign in to Endless in the same browser and try again.

ChatGPT does not use Endless

Make sure Endless is selected under Developer mode in the chat, and name Endless in your request.

A file you know exists doesn't come back

Either you're in another workspace, or the asset is private to a colleague. ChatGPT sees exactly what your account sees. See assets and visibility.
