# ChatGPT

> Add Endless to ChatGPT as a developer mode plugin, sign in with your Endless account, and ask ChatGPT to work with your workspace.

ChatGPT connects to Endless through **developer mode**. Add Endless as a plugin with this address, then sign in with your Endless account. Copy it without a trailing slash or path (not the `/mcp` path some ChatGPT guides show).

Developer mode is available on ChatGPT on the web, on the **Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu** plans. On Business, Enterprise or Edu, a ChatGPT workspace owner or admin must first allow it under **Permissions & roles**.

## Add Endless to ChatGPT

    ### Turn on developer mode

    In ChatGPT, open **Settings → Security and login** and turn on **Developer mode**.

    ### Create the plugin

    Open **Settings → Plugins*&#x2A; and press &#x2A;*+**. In **New Plugin**, set **Name** to `Endless`, **Connection** to **Server URL** with the address above, and **Authentication** to **OAuth**. Leave **Advanced OAuth settings** unchanged.

    ### Accept the warning

    ChatGPT warns about every MCP server OpenAI has not reviewed. Select **I understand and want to continue**, then press **Create**. Endless tools never edit or delete your content, and ChatGPT asks before each paid call.

    ### Sign in with Endless

    Press **Sign in with Endless**, sign in, and press **Allow**. ChatGPT shows Endless as connected.

    ### Use it in a chat

    In a new chat, press &#x2A;*+** in the message box, choose **Developer mode** and select **Endless*&#x2A;. Ask: &#x2A;"Ask Endless who I am."* It answers with your account, your workspaces and the selected one.

## Example requests

Name Endless in the request so ChatGPT uses the plugin instead of a web search:

* *"Search my Endless assets for the Q3 launch deck."*
* *"Find my Endless chat about the podcast clips and summarize what we decided."*
* *"Quote an image of a red bicycle on a white background in Endless, then generate it."*

## When it doesn't work

* **Developer mode is missing:** your plan does not include it, your ChatGPT workspace admin has not allowed it, or you are not on the web.
* **Sign-in does not complete:** delete the plugin and create it again, with no trailing slash or path and **Authentication** set to **OAuth**. If it still fails, sign in to Endless in the same browser and retry.
* **ChatGPT does not use Endless:** select **Endless** under **Developer mode** in the chat, and name Endless in your request.
* **A file you know exists is missing:** you are in another workspace, or the asset is private to a colleague. See [assets and visibility](/docs/concepts/assets-and-visibility).
