# Endless in other AI apps

> Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or VS Code to the Endless MCP server to read your workspace, add files and generate media with your own sign-in.

Source: https://endless.app/docs/connect

Endless runs a remote MCP server. Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or VS Code to it to search and read your workspace, bring files in and generate media. To use external tools inside Endless instead, see [connectors](/docs/automate/connectors).

```
https://mcp.endless.app
```

There is nothing to install and no API key: the client signs in with your Endless account.

## Connect your client

* [Claude](/docs/connect/claude): web, desktop, mobile and Claude Code.
* [ChatGPT](/docs/connect/chatgpt): web, as a developer mode plugin.
* [Cursor and VS Code](/docs/connect/editors): an `mcp.json` file.

You need an Endless account (any plan) and a client that supports remote MCP servers with account sign-in.

## What the assistant can do

Reads are free. The assistant tells you the price before any paid call (see [credits](/docs/concepts/credits-and-spending)).

| Task                                         | Details                                                                                                                                                                                                      | Cost                |

| Open a [project](/docs/concepts/projects) | List the projects you can read, open one by slug, search inside it. | Free |
| Read past chats | Find a chat by title or content and read its messages in order. | Free |
| Read [skills](/docs/automate/skills) | List the skills you can use and read one in full. | Free |
| Check credits | Workspace balance, what your account may spend, when the cycle ends. | Free |
| List canvases | The canvases you can open and the assets on each. | Free |
| Import a link | Save a public image, video, audio file or PDF as an asset. | Free |
| Upload a file | Claude and ChatGPT open an upload box in the chat (ChatGPT also accepts a file attached to the message). Claude Code and editor agents upload from your disk. Other clients import a public link instead. | Free |
| Transcribe a link | A public YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X or media link becomes a [transcript](/docs/transcripts). A link already transcribed is reused for free. | Per minute of audio |
| Generate media | Image, video or speech with the workspace's models. Quoted first; Claude and ChatGPT show the result in a card. | Per run |
| Use and create [voices](/docs/create/speech) | Speak in a workspace voice, or create one from a description or a clone of recordings in the workspace. A clone needs your confirmation that you have the right to that voice and takes a cloned-voice slot. | Creating is free |
| Look up public social media | Profiles, posts, comments, searches, trends and audiences on Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn and Reddit. A failed lookup is not charged. | Per request |

Lists return ten results per page with a cursor for the next. Long transcripts and chats say when they are truncated.

## Limits

* **Same access as the app.** Every tool runs the app's permission checks and [visibility rules](/docs/concepts/assets-and-visibility). A colleague's private asset is hidden here too, including from admins.
* **Adds, never changes.** The assistant cannot edit or delete assets, chats, projects, skills or voices, and cannot create or edit canvases or scheduled tasks. Do that in Endless.
* **One workspace at a time.** With one workspace, it is selected automatically. With several, the assistant lists them and you name one. The choice is remembered for 90 days across clients; ask the assistant to switch when you need another.
* **60 tool calls per minute** per account, across all connected clients.

## If something goes wrong

* **Check the account:** ask *"Ask Endless who I am."* It answers with your account, your workspaces and the selected one.
* **Sign-in does not complete:** remove the connector or server and add it again. The address must have no trailing slash and no path.
* **A result is missing:** check the selected workspace, then whether the asset is private to someone else. The two look the same from the client.
